Khloé Kardashian was the bigger person and invited her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson to the rainbow-themed first birthday party she threw for their daughter True Thompson. The party was their first publicly-documented reunion since they broke up following Tristan allegedly cheating with Jordyn Woods.
But their afternoon was not without a little bit of Instagram-documented awkwardness. In one video, Tristan can be seen trying to see if he can hold True and take her from Khloé. Khloé just ignored him and pretended he wasn’t there, then gave him a bit of an unamused look:
Tristan did eventually get to hold True though and shared a tribute on his own Instagram to her. “❤️❤️my princess❤️❤️ I love you soo much,” he captioned his video of them at the party.
True’s birthday party was, naturally, extravagant. Khloé thoroughly documented every little detail. She and True wore matching August Getty Atelier outfits. The party was pastel rainbow-themed, and True and Khloé took photos together under parasols and fog clouds:
There were “unicorn” ponies that True rode:
There were lots of pastel balloon arches, a butterfly wall, a giant “TRUE” sign, and a giant “1” that were the party’s decorations:
Food-wise, there was an endless array of pastel sweets. There was cotton candy literally shaped like cute animals. There was a donut wall. There were cake pops, cookies, and pretzel wands—literally enough sugar to put anyone into a sugar coma.
As Kim Kardashian documented, Khloé also had a giant ball pit for the kids:
And as Kylie Jenner showed, there was also a soft playground for the littlest ones too. Stormi Webster played on it:
True didn’t get any presents. Instead, her mother asked guests to bring gifts for the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, a nice philanthropic twist to an otherwise lavish party.
