The New Killing Eve Trailer Shows Villanelle and Eve’s Next Steps

“Sometimes when you love someone, you do crazy things.” Yes, that’s right, but when the person in question is Killing Eve‘s no-boundaries, no-qualms serial killer Villanelle, those crazy things get downright terrifying and probably murderous. Her voiceover in the brand new official trailer for season 2 of the dark comedy–cum–espionage murder mystery sets the tone for creepy things to come. Thrilling!

In the new trailer for the BBC America hit series, Villanelle (Jodie Comer) gets up to no good in several new exhilarating looks: a long, straight pink wig is a highlight, and there’s yet another voluminous pink outfit to rival the frothy Molly Goddard dress from the first season. (But don’t ask her to take a picture for your Instagram.) Eve (Sandra Oh, in the role that earned her a Golden Globe this year) is doing her best Mindhunter routine, trying to parse Villanelle’s psychology, because—as Carolyn (Fiona Shaw) points out—she needs to find her quick.

Picking up where the first season finale left us, Killing Eve‘s second run will show us just what happened to Villanelle after that almost-fatal confrontation between the two women. In our first peek at the new episodes, we saw that the clever Russian minx escaped her hospital bed, while Eve received a gift that would be nice under almost any other circumstances: a floral arrangement of her name. Too bad it’s probably from someone who wants her dead!

Killing Eve returns on Sunday, April 7, at 8 P.M. on BBC America.
